Punjab Police arrests two BKI operatives, recovers two hand grenades

Amritsar: Punjab Police has achieved a major success. Counter Intelligence Amritsar has arrested two accused linked to foreign handlers and the banned organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). Police also recovered two hand grenades from their possession.

Arrest based on a tip-off

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested a young man named Ajay. The accused, Ajay, is the son of Ram Swaroop and a resident of Bajigar Mohalla, Ajnala, Amritsar. Police have also arrested another accomplice.

Plot to target government institutions

During the search, two hand grenades were recovered from the accused. Initial investigation revealed that the two accused were plotting to target government institutions and vital infrastructure in Punjab. According to the police, timely action foiled a major terrorist plot.

Case registered at SSOC Amritsar

A case has been registered at SSOC Amritsar Police Station under sections 61(2) of the BNS and 4/5 of the Explosive Substances Act. Police are currently interrogating both accused and the investigation is expected to yield significant revelations.
