Patiala: In a major breakthrough in the Shambhu railway track blast case, joint teams of SSOC Amritsar, Patiala Police, and CI Pathankot have apprehended Gurjinder Singh alias Baba Beant, a key associate of the main accused Jagroop Singh.

Linked to Multiple Terror Incidents

According to preliminary investigations, Gurjinder Singh played a role not only in the Shambhu railway track blast but also in the Sirhind railway track blast and a grenade attack on the CIA office in Moga. Officials said these incidents were carried out under the directions of foreign-based handlers.

All Three Cases Solved

With this arrest and earlier recoveries made during the investigation, Punjab Police confirmed that all three terror-related incidents in Moga, Sirhind, and Shambhu have now been successfully solved.
