Punjab Police DSP Daljit Singh passes away after prolonged illness

Punjab Police DSP Daljit Singh, known for his tough action against drug trafficking, has passed away. He was 51 years old and had been suffering from a serious kidney disease for a long time.

DSP Daljit Singh was undergoing treatment at Max Hospital in Mohali. He was undergoing regular dialysis due to kidney failure. He breathed his last late Monday evening. He had been on medical leave for almost a year.

DSP Daljit Singh was posted in the Anti-Narcotic Wing of the Ludhiana Rural Police. He had been on medical leave due to kidney disease. DSP Daljit Singh worked in the Anti-Narcotics Wing for a long time and took strict action against drug smugglers.

He was known as a determined and fearless officer due to his strict action against drug trafficking. According to his colleagues, he performed his duties with utmost honesty, integrity, and courage.

The news of his demise was met with profound grief within the police department. The department has lost a dedicated and honest officer. His last rites will be performed with full state honours on Tuesday at his native village, Bhunrehri, district Patiala.
