Chandigarh: Punjab Police is on alert mode regarding the Independence Day celebrations on 15th August. Today, a checking campaign was carried out by the police in many districts of the state.

During this, the focus was mainly on hotels, PGs, railway stations and bus stands. At the same time, a decision has been taken to do a strong blockade at night.
