Punjab Police Bust Pakistan-Linked Cross-Border Arms Smuggling Module, Two Arrested

Amritsar: Acting on intelligence inputs, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted a cross-border arms smuggling network linked to Pakistan and arrested two accused. During the search, the police recovered a total of seven modern pistols, including three PX5 and four .30 bore pistols.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested accused were working on the instructions of a handler based in Pakistan. The handler had fixed pickup points for illegal weapons through WhatsApp.

DGP Punjab Police said in a tweet that it is committed to dismantling cross-border smuggling networks and ensuring the safety of the people of Punjab.
