Punjab Police Foil Major Terror Plot, Seize 2.5 Kg RDX in Jalandhar; Two Arrested

Jalandhar: Police in Jalandhar, Punjab, have seized 2.5 kilograms of RDX. They have also arrested two suspects, identified as Gurjinder Singh and Dewan Singh. Counterintelligence also recovered a remote from their possession. It is feared that terrorists were planning a major attack in Punjab during the festive season.

Police have seized the explosives and launched an investigation. Counterintelligence sources indicate that these explosives were supplied by ISI-backed terrorists.

Ahead of the festive season, the vigilant Punjab Police have foiled the terrorists’ nefarious plans. However, an investigation is underway to determine the locations in Punjab the terrorists intended to target with these explosives.

Case registered under UAPA and Explosives Act

An FIR has been registered at PS SSOC Amritsar under sections of UAPA and Explosives Act. According to police sources, this terrorist module was conspiring to disturb peace and spread terror in Punjab.
