The case of the murder of ‘AAP’ Sarpanch Harbrinder Singh has not completely cooled down, as another recent case has come to light from Moga. The Sarpanch of the village Patton in Baghapurana has been shot dead.

According to the information, Harvinder Singh Happy was the current Sarpanch of village Patton, who was near the pump on Kotkapura Road in Baghapurana at the time of the incident, during which armed men riding a Fortuner opened fire on him indiscriminately. Sarpanch Happy was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to the hospital by the people around, but he died after some time.

The incident was initially reported to have been triggered by the accused opening fire on the Happy Sarpanch over some old enmity. However, the police are investigating the reasons for the incident. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of fear in Bagha Purana and the surrounding areas.

Harbrinder Singh, the sarpanch of village Thathian Mahantan of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab (AAP Punjab), had come to a wedding function at Sidhu Farm in village Sheron. His brother, German Singh was also with the sarpanch. During this, the accused opened fire on Sarpanch Harbrinder Singh in the ongoing wedding function, during which he died on the spot.

Police reached the spot, investigation underway

Senior police officers reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received. The SSP of Moga inspected the spot and ordered the police teams to investigate. The police have surrounded the area and started searching for the accused.
