Punjab Student Killed in England, Family Seeks Justice

Tarn Taran: A 24-year-old woman from Punjab’s Tarn Taran district was allegedly murdered in England after being stabbed multiple times while she was asleep in her room. British police have launched an investigation and are searching for the accused, who was reportedly seen carrying a knife in CCTV footage captured at the house gate.

The victim, identified as Kirandeep Kaur, had moved to England around two years ago on a student visa for higher education. After completing her studies, she secured a work permit and had started working there.

Family sold land for her education

Kirandeep’s father, Sukhdev Singh, said the family had sold their land to fund her education in England, hoping she would build a better future. Her sudden death has left the family devastated and plunged their village into mourning.

Attacked while asleep

According to family members, the attack took place on Sunday morning when Kirandeep was sleeping in her room. An unidentified attacker allegedly entered the room and stabbed her several times with a sharp weapon, killing her on the spot.

CCTV captures suspect

A CCTV camera installed at the house gate reportedly captured a man carrying a knife shortly before the incident. The footage is now part of the investigation being carried out by British police. The motive behind the murder is yet to be established.

Family seeks help from Government

Kirandeep’s parents, Sukhdev Singh and Baljeet Kaur, have appealed to the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to help bring their daughter’s mortal remains back to India so that her last rites can be performed in her native villag

British police have registered a murder case and are investigating all possible angles. Meanwhile, villagers have demanded swift justice and the immediate arrest of the accused.
