Punjab’s temperatures continue to drop: 3,020 cases of stubble burning in November

The minimum temperature in Punjab continues to drop. On Thursday, the maximum and minimum temperatures dropped by 0.3 degrees. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in most cities in the state remained around 10°C.

Amid the changing weather, stubble burning cases are increasing in the state, and pollution is also becoming suffocating. Despite strict measures, the highest number of stubble-burning cases were reported in CM Mann’s home district.

According to the Meteorological Center, the temperature in the state dropped by 0.3 degrees. On Thursday, the maximum temperature in all cities remained around 30 degrees. Amritsar recorded 25.7 degrees, Ludhiana 26.5 degrees, Patiala 27 degrees, Pathankot 26.5 degrees, and Bathinda 29.4 degrees.

The minimum temperature in Punjab remained at 7.2 degrees, which was recorded in Faridkot.

Punjab reports 4,662 stubble burning cases

A total of 4,662 stubble burning cases have been reported in the state this season, from September 15th to November 12th. Surprisingly, 3,020 of these cases were reported in November alone. Of these, the highest number, 402, are from Sangrur district, the home district of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Ferozepur reported 327 cases, Tarn Taran 288, Moga 280, Muktsar 278, Mansa 294, and Fazilka 178.
