Tractor march of farmers in Punjab; protest against land pooling policy

Now, the protest of farmers has intensified against the land pooling policy of the Punjab government for land acquisition. This matter has now reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Today, a tractor march is being taken out by the farmers on this issue.

March under Sanyukt Kisan Morcha 

The march will be held under the banner of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha. At the same time, a tractor march is being taken out by the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. Despite the rain, the tractor march had started in Amritsar under the leadership of Sarwan Singh Pandher. This march will be taken out in all the areas of the state. Tractors will pass through the villages where land is to be acquired. Farmers have started gathering in Ludhiana for the march. A tractor march is being taken out from Baliyo village of Samrala to the SDM office.

Senior farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal is specially present. Leaders of many other farmer unions have also arrived. Balbir Singh Rajewal said that the land pooling that the Punjab government has issued. It has issued a notification of thousands of acres of land to grab the land directly, without thinking, without any survey, without any expert opinion.

This will ruin at least 20 thousand farmer families. Along with them, the labourers living in the villages will also be unemployed. Now the government has hatched a conspiracy of 116 villages so that these villages can be erased from the map. There is a big conspiracy behind this, said Rajewal.
