“Punjab Wants Basic Services, Not Freebies”: Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu Slams Punjab Govt

Chandigarh: Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu, former Congress leader, has questioned Bhagwant Mann about the lack of bus services from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport.

In a post on social media, she asked why there are no buses from the airport to major cities and villages of Punjab.

“People Want Basic Services”

Sidhu said that the people of Punjab do not want freebies. She said they want basic services.

She also asked if the Chief Minister is working independently or being guided by leaders from Delhi. This was seen as a comment about the ruling Aam Aadmi Party.

What Sidhu Demanded

In her post, she suggested:

1.Subsidy on solar power instead of free electricity

2.Permanent jobs for one youth in every family

3.Transfers in government jobs based on merit

4.Scholarships for poor students

5.Health cards for regular check-ups

6.Clean drinking water and pesticide-free food

7.Free education and healthcare

8.Better sports and arts facilities in government institutions

She said these steps would help Punjab grow in a better way.
