Punjab temperature below normal: Dry days, cold nights ahead

Amritsar: Since the western disturbance subsided, Punjab’s average temperature has been steadily increasing. However, this increase is very small. The increase was only 0.4 degrees in the past 24 hours. Despite this, the state’s temperature remains 2.2 degrees below normal. The highest temperature in the past 24 hours was 32.8 degrees, recorded in Bathinda.

According to the Meteorological Center, the weather in the state will remain dry next week. There is no forecast of rain anywhere. Agricultural experts believe that due to the excessive rainy days last month, the paddy crop has not yet fully ripened in many areas. This sunshine will be beneficial for the paddy and will also maintain a slight humidity in the atmosphere.

In the coming week, we will see a slight increase of 2 to 3 degrees in the maximum daytime temperature. After this, daytime temperatures will remain normal. However, urban temperatures, which are currently recorded around 30 degrees, will remain between 30 and 32 degrees.

Nights will become colder 

The night weather in Punjab is expected to remain cold. Currently, temperatures are hovering around 18 degrees in most cities. It is estimated that temperatures will not exceed 20 degrees for the next week.
