Punjab Weather Update: Light to moderate rain predicted in 13 districts

A big forecast has been made for the weather in Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is likely in 13 districts today. Even before this, the administration’s concern had increased due to waterlogging in many areas. Similar weather has been predicted for the next week.

Light to moderate rain is likely in 13 districts. The Meteorological Department has not issued any alert for Wednesday. But light to moderate rain is expected in some districts. Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Rupnagar may receive rain.

Along with this, light to moderate rain is also expected in various areas of Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, and Mohali. The average maximum temperature has increased by two degrees. The highest temperature in Samrala has reached 36 degrees.

Apart from this, on September 13, a rain alert has been issued in Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Ludhiana, S.A.S. Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Mansa, and Barnala. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light rain in some districts, while moderate rain is likely in some parts. People living in low-lying areas and along the river banks have been advised to be careful as the flow of the Beas and Sutlej rivers has already increased.

The flood situation in Punjab is still not completely under control. 23 districts of the state are affected by floods. Although the water level of the dams has gone below the danger mark, many low-lying areas are still filled with water. Due to this, people are facing immense difficulties.
