Punjab Weather Update: Clear skies till October 16, Temperatures below normal

Amritsar: Clear weather is expected in Punjab until October 16th. Despite a 0.7 degree increase in the past 24 hours, the state’s temperature remains 3.3 degrees below normal. Weather experts believe that recent rain and snowfall in the mountains have contributed to the cold weather in the state.

Bathinda recorded the highest temperature in Punjab at 32.5 degrees Celsius. Amritsar recorded 29.7 degrees Celsius, Ludhiana 29.6 degrees Celsius, Patiala 30.9 degrees Celsius, and Pathankot 30 degrees Celsius.

Faridkot recorded a high of 30.4 degrees, Gurdaspur 27 degrees and SBS Nagar 29 degrees. Abohar recorded the lowest temperature of 12.5 degrees.

The weather will remain dry, the temperature will drop

According to the Meteorological Department, no rain is expected in Punjab this week until October 16. Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 28–30°C in the northern and eastern districts. Maximum temperatures in the rest of the state may reach 30–32°C.

Maximum temperatures are expected to remain below normal this week. Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 12–18°C in Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Rupnagar districts, while they may hover around 20°C in other parts. Minimum temperatures in other parts of the state are expected to range from 18–19°C.

Mohali – The sky will be clear and sunny. The temperature is expected to range between 19 and 31 degrees.
