Punjab Weather Update: Cold wave rages in Punjab, yellow alert issued till December 5

A yellow alert has been issued for a cold wave in Punjab. The cold wave is being felt due to cold winds coming from Rajasthan. According to meteorological sources, this alert is expected to continue till December 5.

If the situation does not improve, this area may spread further, and the cold wave may continue for several more days. Currently, the cold wave is affecting Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Moga, Faridkot, Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda and Mansa.

In Punjab, the temperature has dropped by 1 degree in the last 24 hours, making the average minimum temperature of the state 1.6 degrees below normal.

Due to the drop in temperature in the sandy areas of Rajasthan, the border districts of Punjab are being affected by the cold wave. A yellow alert has been issued in Punjab, which will remain till December 5. After this, some relief is expected in the state.
