Punjab Weather Update: Drop in maximum temperature; rain predicted from Oct 5

Punjab’s weather is set to change once again. The effects of the activated Western Disturbance can be felt in the state from October 5th. According to the Meteorological Center, a yellow alert has been issued for rain in the state for three days starting October 5th. A warning has been issued for heavy rain in the state during this period.

Days Turn Normal, Nights Still Hot

Due to the changing weather, Punjab’s maximum temperature has dropped by 1.5 degrees in the past 24 hours. Consequently, the state’s maximum temperature has reached near normal, while night temperatures remain above normal.

The state’s minimum temperature dropped by 1 degree, but despite this, the temperature remains 2.9 degrees warmer than normal. At the same time, Mansa was the hottest city in the state with 35.7 degrees.
