Punjab Weather Update: Mild heatwave in day, chilling cold in night

While the maximum temperature in Punjab increased slightly, the minimum temperature dropped. Tuesday also began with clear skies, meaning it will be sunny throughout the day. According to the Meteorological Center, a mild heat wave may be felt during the afternoon for the next 15 days, but mornings, evenings, and nights will remain cool.

According to the Meteorological Center, the temperature in most cities in Punjab will remain around 30 to 32 degrees Celsius for the next 15 days. The minimum night temperature is expected to be between 15 and 19 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature in the border districts of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot is expected to be below normal.

Bathinda was the hottest place

Amritsar’s maximum temperature was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius, 1.3 degrees below normal. Bathinda recorded the highest temperature in the state at 33.8 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana recorded a temperature of 32 degrees, Patiala 33 degrees, Gurdaspur 30.8 degrees, Ferozepur 32.9 degrees, Hoshiarpur 29.9 degrees, and Mohali 32 degrees.

Cold weather in Punjab will force people to shiver

According to meteorologists, the cold weather in Punjab is expected to last longer this year. Snowfall has already occurred in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh, and snow can be seen. Several western disturbances will remain active in the coming days, meaning Himachal will experience significant snowfall, which will be felt in Punjab. Punjab will experience colder-than-normal temperatures, and foggy days are also expected to be higher than normal.
