Punjab Weather Update: Monsoon weakens as no alert for four days

The Meteorological Department has issued no warning or alert for the next four days in Punjab. Even on the last day, there was light rain at only a few places, due to which there was not much change in the temperature and it remained close to normal. The highest temperature was recorded at 37.4 degrees Celsius in Bathinda.

According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is active, and the low-pressure area is from Jammu and Kashmir to the Malwa region of Punjab. However, its effect is very little visible in Punjab, and the monsoon has not been fully active.

Talking about rain, Ludhiana has received 27 mm of rain, Ferozepur 49.5 mm and Mohali 12 mm of rain. Talking about the temperature, Amritsar recorded a rise of 1.5 degrees to 36.5 degrees, Ludhiana 1 degree to 35.2 degrees and Pathankot 2.3 degrees to 36.1 degrees. At the same time, the temperature of Patiala fell by 1.2 degrees to 34.8 degrees.

28-29 July- There is a possibility of rain in 50 to 70% area in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Rupnagar. While there may be sporadic rain in other districts.

30-31 July- There may be rain in some districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh while there is a possibility of sporadic rain in other districts.
