Punjab Weather Update: Slight rise in temp; nights remain cold

Punjab’s temperature has seen a slight increase of 0.4 degrees Celsius over the past 24 hours. Following this increase, the state’s temperature remains 3.5 percent cooler than normal. Due to recent rains and an active western disturbance, nights are cold and daytime temperatures are also low.

According to the Meteorological Center, the highest temperature in the state was recorded in Faridkot, where the temperature reached 33.5 degrees Celsius. However, the maximum temperature in most cities remains below 30 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana recorded a temperature of 30.6 degrees Celsius, Patiala 30.7 degrees Celsius, Bathinda 31 degrees Celsius, and Rupnagar 30 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 28.5 degrees, Pathankot 29.3 degrees, Gurdaspur 28.5 degrees, SBS Nagar 28.5 degrees, Fazilka 29.6 degrees, Ferozepur 29 degrees, Hoshiarpur 28.5 degrees, and Mohali 29.9 degrees.

No rain forecast in the state

The recent rains in Punjab are the main reason for this drop in temperature. However, no rain is forecast in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has also not issued any alert. It is expected that temperatures will not change significantly in the coming days, and conditions will remain normal.
