Stable Weather in Punjab Till August 2; Rainfall Alert for Select Districts from August 3

No alert was issued by the Meteorological Center (IMD) in Punjab today. The weather is going to be normal in the state today and the next two days. Rain was seen in some districts on Wednesday morning. Even after that, an increase in the state’s temperature has been observed.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature recorded an average increase of 1.2 ° C, but despite this, the average temperature of the state remained 2.4 ° C below normal. According to the report of the India Meteorological Department, Chandigarh Center, the highest temperature of the state was recorded at 35.1 ° C in Abohar of Fazilka district.

Rain in some districts 

Whereas, Amritsar received 15 mm of rain till 8.30 am on Wednesday and 1 mm more till 5.30 pm. Similarly, Patiala received 32.3 mm of rain in the last 24 hours, Bathinda 115 mm, Gurdaspur 57.2 mm and Pathankot 27 mm.

According to the 6-day warning of the Meteorological Department

From July 31 to August 2: The weather will be normal in all the districts of Punjab and no warning has been issued.

August 3 to 5: Heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Pathankot districts. During this time, a yellow alert has been issued in the state.
