Punjab Weather Update: Temp drop recorded in major cities; No alert for rain

Due to recent rains and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, the weather in Punjab and Chandigarh has changed. A chill is beginning to be felt. The temperature has dropped by 0.6 degrees in 24 hours, which is 9.6 degrees below normal. The highest temperature was recorded in Gurdaspur at 30.5 degrees.

The weather is expected to remain clear today. There is no chance of rain until October 13th. The weather will remain completely dry today. The weather department has not issued any warning.

Day and night temperatures will now be lower

According to the Meteorological Department Center in Chandigarh, temperatures have dropped in most cities in Punjab and Chandigarh. All cities recorded a drop in temperature. Yesterday was the coldest day in Chandigarh. According to the Meteorological Department, northwesterly winds will begin to blow from October 8th, causing temperatures, especially night temperatures, to drop. A mild chill will be felt in the mornings and evenings. After Diwali, the day will also feel cold.

The weather will change at the end of this month

Surendra Pal Singh, Director of the Meteorological Department Center in Chandigarh, stated that the weather in Punjab will begin to improve. Temperatures will begin to drop. Both maximum and minimum temperatures will decrease. The mountains will also be affected as there has been snowfall there. Rainfall will also decrease in Himachal.

After this, there will be no major change in the weather for 5 to 7 days, and the weather will remain normal. The wind direction will shift to the northwest, which will keep the weather dry. Two western disturbances are expected after this, which may further alter the weather.
