Temperature continue to drop in Punjab; Faridkot coldest @ 8 degrees

Temperatures in Punjab continue to drop. Sunday’s minimum temperature dropped by 0.2 degrees, bringing the temperature to 1.7 degrees below normal. The maximum temperature was also 0.3 degrees below the previous day. The lowest temperature in the state was recorded at 8 degrees in Faridkot, the same as in Shimla and Dharamshala.

According to the Meteorological Center, temperatures in Punjab will also drop slightly today. The weather is expected to remain dry for the next two weeks. Without rain, there is no sign of any relief from pollution. However, a change in wind direction has brought some relief.

Pollution levels have decreased slightly in the last 24 hours, but this is only temporary. Complete relief from pollution will be possible only after rain.

Temperatures expected to drop by 2 degrees

Maximum temperatures this week are expected to remain around normal until November 13th. Maximum temperatures in the northern and eastern districts are expected to range between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, temperatures in other parts of the state will range from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, and Amritsar districts are expected to range from 6 to 8 degrees Celsius. In other parts of the state, temperatures are expected to range from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. In this scenario, minimum temperatures in northern and western districts may remain below normal, while temperatures in other parts are expected to remain close to normal.
