Temperatures in Punjab are steadily decreasing. The minimum night temperature dropped by 0.7 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature increased by 0.5 degrees Celsius, though temperatures remain normal. No rain is forecast in the coming days. The weather will remain dry, and winds from the mountains will make people shiver.
Meanwhile, the lockdown situation created by reduced wind speeds in North India will continue to pose a pollution problem in Punjab. Pollution levels have increased in several cities over the past 24 hours. A western disturbance brought light rains following recent rains, which provided temporary relief from pollution. However, the change in wind direction has suddenly caused pollution levels to rise.
