No Rain in Punjab Till Apr 15, Temp to Rise by 2°C

After the recent rains in Punjab and Chandigarh, the temperature has started rising again. However, the cold is still felt in the mornings and evenings. Today (April 11) the weather will remain dry. But during the day, cold winds will blow from the mountains. In such a situation, a rapid increase in temperature is expected.

Compared to yesterday, an increase of 2 degrees in temperature has been recorded. However, it is still 2.4 degrees below normal. The highest temperature of 33.2 degrees was recorded in Faridkot.

Know the weather in the coming days in two points

1. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no chance of rain until April 16. During this period, the maximum temperature in Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshahr) is likely to remain between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. While in Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Malerkotla, and Moga it may be 30 to 32 degrees, whereas in Bathinda, Mansa, and Fazilka, the temperature may reach 32 to 34 degrees. In Firozepur, Faridkot, and Muktsar, the temperature will remain slightly lower than normal, while in other places it is expected to be around normal.

2. In terms of minimum temperature, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Mohali, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshahr) are likely to have a minimum temperature of 12 to 14 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Malerkotla, and Moga may have a minimum temperature of 14 to 16 degrees Celsius. While Bathinda, Mansa, and Fazilka are likely to have a minimum temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. Additionally, across the state, the minimum temperature this week is expected to remain around normal.

The weather conditions will be like this

In the sky above north-west India, winds are blowing at a high speed at a considerable height. These winds are approximately 12–13 kilometers above the ground and have a speed of around 220 kilometers per hour. The effect of this is that there may be a slight change in the weather.

Along with this, from April 15, 2026, a weak western disturbance is likely to enter hilly areas like Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Because of this, there may be light rain or snowfall in these regions.

Three days of winds will blow

Weather department director Surendra Pal said that the weather is likely to remain clear and dry across the state, meaning there is no chance of rain. For the next three days, strong winds may blow at a speed of 25 to 35 kilometers per hour. Along with this, in the next seven days, daytime temperatures are likely to increase by 6 to 8 degrees Celsius, which will gradually make the heat feel more intense.
