12-year-old Aarav commemorates Vijay Kargil Diwas by 1200km cycle journey, Punjab DGP honors

After reaching Punjab, he mapped Gurdaspur, Attari border, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Chandigarh in span of five days.

Chandigarh: Lauding the efforts of honoring martyrs and raising awareness against drug menace, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has come in support of Aarav Bhardwaj. Aarav Bhardwaj, a 12-year-old child has embarked a 1200km cycle journey from Kargil to Delhi. His endeavor began from Kargil war memorial on July 26 on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. After reaching Punjab, he mapped Gurdaspur, Attari border, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Chandigarh in span of five days.

Aarav also gave a message of Drug free Punjab through his cycle journey. Thanking Punjab Police, He also gave a slogan of ‘Say No to Drugs and Say Yes to Punjab’. Starting on July 27, Aarav paid tribute at various war memorials, including Zojila, Badami Bagh, and Punjab State War Memorial. Accompanied by his father, his 13-day expedition spans Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and will conclude in Delhi on August 8.

Aarav also met Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav on reaching Chandigarh where he was honored for his sheer efforts and dedication towards martyrs of our nation. DGP Yadav posted a video through which he applauded the efforts of Aarav Bhardwaj and supported his cycle journey.
