180 phones lost during martyrdom gathering recovered, 50 accused arrested

The police have arrested 50 accused in 15 cases registered in the matter.

Fatehgarh Sahib: Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib Police has achieved great success in returning lost and stolen mobiles during the martyrdom gathering in Fatehgarh Sahib. Many people lost their mobiles amidst the crowd of lakhs of devotees in the martyrdom gathering held from 15 to 31 December.

Under the leadership of SSP Dr. Ravjot Grewal, the police first recovered 120 and then 60 mobiles with the help of IMEI tracking and CIER portal. The recovered phones include 12 Samsung, 20 Vivo, 14 Oppo, one iPhone, 12 Redmi and one Honor mobile. The police have arrested 50 accused in 15 cases registered in the matter.

SSP Grewal has appealed to the people to immediately register a complaint at the nearest Sanjha Kendra in case of mobile being lost or stolen. The teams of SP Rakesh Yadav, DSP Sukhnaz Singh, and DSP Hartesh Kaushik played an important role in this successful operation. All the people who got their mobiles back appreciated this effort of the police.
