2 held with illegal weapons and 1 kg of opium by Special Cell team Jalandhar

In Jalandhar, Punjab, the Special Cell team of City Police has arrested two criminals with 3 illegal weapons and one kg of opium.

Jalandhar : In Jalandhar, Punjab, the Special Cell team of City Police has arrested two criminals with 3 illegal weapons and one kg of opium.

Police have registered a case against the arrested Anil Kumar alias Rocky and Mukesh under various sections of the Arms Act and NDPS Act. The police will soon present the accused in the court and take them on remand and interrogate where the accused had brought the weapon from and to whom they were going to sell it.

Accused arrested near Ramamandi

According to sources associated with the City Police, they said accused were arrested by the Special Cell from Ramamandi. The arrested accused have been identified as Mukesh Sharma, son of Umesh Sharma, resident of Karol Bagh, Jalandhar and Anil Kumar alias Rocky, resident of Jalandhar. Both the accused belong to criminal background. According to sources, accused started running away after seeing the police, the Special Cell team chased and caught them.

Indian pistols recovered

According to the information received, the police have recovered one kilogram of pure opium and 3 Indian pistols from the said accused. Along with the pistols, six live cartridges and three magazines were also recovered from the accused.

The Special Cell team has registered a case against the accused in Ramamandi police station. Soon the Commissionerate Police will hold a press conference and share information regarding this. Police is investigating the links of the accused to find out which gang the accused were attached to.
