Today, marks a significant milestone in the ongoing farmers’ protest that has captured the nation’s attention for months. Today, the farmers’ strike at the Shambhu borders between Punjab and Haryana reaches its 200th day. To commemorate this occasion, a massive gathering is taking place at these borders, with thousands of farmers from across Punjab and Haryana reaching the protest site.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who was disqualified from the Paris Olympics, reached the ongoing farmer movement at Shambhu border of Punjab-Haryana on Saturday. Here the farmer leaders honored her on the stage. A program has been organized here on the completion of 200 days of the movement by the farmers. After this, Vinesh Phogat will also join the ongoing farmer movement at Khanauri border.

On this occasion, Vinesh Phogat said, “Today it has been 200 days since the farmers have been sitting here, but the enthusiasm is the same as the first day. Your daughter is with you. I tell the government that when the people of the country raise their voice for their rights, it is not political every time. It should not be linked to any religion. I urge the government to listen. They had admitted their mistake last time. They should fulfill their promises. Solving this should be the first priority of the government.

Earlier today in morning, Farmer union leader Sarwan Singh Pandher uploaded a video from the Shambhu border, announcing that all arrangements are in place for this milestone event. He emphasized the significance of today’s gathering, stating that lakhs of farmers will assemble here, at Khanauri, and other border points.

Pandher also reiterated the farmers’ demands to the Central Government, including a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other pressing issues. He urged the government to open the routes and allow the farmers to advance peacefully to Delhi. This event marks a critical moment in the ongoing farmers’ struggle, as they continue to press for their demands.
