In Punjab, the year 2024 has been the year of elections. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the state president of the Congress party, thanked the people of Punjab for their cooperation in the elections. He said that three important elections have been held and Congress has performed better. Raja Warring affirmed that it is clear that 2027 will be the year of Congress in Punjab.

Amarinder Singh Raja Warring posted a message on his social media account and said that this election year has proved the hard work of every worker, leader, and official of Congress Punjab. He wrote, “Through sustained efforts at the grassroots level, we have grown stronger and emerged as the true voice of Punjab. From Lok Sabha to Panchayat and Municipal Corporation (MC) elections, people have shown that 2027 is the year of Punjab Congress.”
In 2022, Aam Aadmi Party created history by winning 93 seats. But in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress won 7 seats and Aam Aadmi Party got reduced to 3 seats.
Talking about the Panchayati elections, many defeated Congressmen have approached the High Court at this time. In this most of the cases are of canceled affidavit.
Municipal Corporation elections have been concluded in 5 cities of Punjab, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, and Phagwara. Only Patiala is the only seat where the Aam Aadmi Party has succeeded in making its mayor. Among the other four seats, the Congress is ahead in two and the Aam Aadmi Party is ahead in two. However, no party has been able to get an absolute majority on all four seats.
