22-year-old man killed with sharp weapon over old dispute, accused arrested

Due to an old dispute, the accused attacked and killed Abhay late on Wednesday night.

Batala: In Chandu Manj village near Batala in Punjab, a young man was killed by sharp weapons. The attack was carried out due to an old dispute. Police have arrested the main accused, taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.

According to the deceased 22-year-old Abhay’s father Danish, a few days ago he had a dispute with a neighbor over a minor issue. Due to the rivalry of this dispute, the accused attacked and killed Abhay late on Wednesday night.

He told that after the dispute with the neighbor, the village panchayat called both the parties and got the settlement done, but due to the same rivalry, neighbor Rajpal found his son alone and suddenly attacked him and killed him with a sharp weapon.

DSP Sunil Kumar, who is investigating the case, said that as soon as the information was received, the in-charge of police station Kila Lal Singh, Prabhjot Singh, reached the spot. The police arrested the accused Rajpal Singh and registered a case. The matter is being investigated. The body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
