ASI Shaminderjit Singh of Thana City said that the victim woman Mandeep Kaur told the police in the complaint lodged that her mother-in-law Manjit Kaur had filed a case against the parents of the accused in 2022 for occupying the land. Regarding which the accused used to come outside their house and abuse and threaten them to put pressure on them.

During this, Harpreet Kaur, daughter of elderly Manjit Kaur, resident of Kotha Khajura, had alleged that if the police had taken action earlier, her family would not have been lying in two ambulances in the hospital.
