Jalandhar: Jalandhar Commissionerate Police in Punjab has arrested 5 associates of terrorist Lakhbir Landa. Police have recovered about 4 foreign pistols, a revolver, 2 magazines and 2 cartridges from the accused. In this regard, the city police has registered a case under various sections including the Arms Act.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that for the last 15 days, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police had laid a trap against the said accused. After a 15-day operation, five henchmen of the terrorist Lakhbir Landa gang sitting in Canada were arrested.
Used to order consignments of weapons from across the border
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the said accused used to order consignments of weapons from Pakistan. The accused had committed crimes like drug supply, murder, ransom and extortion in various states of Punjab. Dozens of cases are registered against the said accused in various districts of Punjab.
The criminal activities of all of them were being tracked by the city police for a long time. On this basis, the police arrested the accused. The movement of the accused had increased in the city for the last few days. DGP Yadav said – This is a good initiative of the city police to end organized crime.
