Chandigarh: A team of 50 headmasters and headmistresses of government schools of Punjab has left for IIM Ahmedabad for training. Education Minister Harjot Bains flagged off the team at Chandigarh Airport. This is the third batch that has been sent to Ahmedabad for training. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains himself has given this information by posting it on his social media account.
After this batch, preparations are underway to send primary schools to Finland for training. The Punjab government has signed an MoU with Turku University of Finland for this.
This MoU was signed this month in the presence of former Delhi Education Minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia between Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains and a representative of Turku University.
In the first batch, 72 teachers of primary schools will be sent to Finland for training. This training program will be of 3 weeks. The Education Department has sought online applications from interested teachers. Those who fulfill the conditions in the applications received will be sent forward.
Earlier, the principals of high and senior secondary schools were trained from Singapore.
