Chandigarh: Punjab government on Friday announced a 7-day state mourning in honour of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who passed away on Thursday.
As per the orders, the tricolor will remain at half-mast in the state and no entertainment program will be organized by the Punjab government.
Let us tell you that former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday during treatment at AIIMS. He breathed his last at 9:51 pm at the age of 92. He suddenly fell unconscious on Thursday evening after which he was admitted to the emergency department of AIIMS at 8:06 pm. He had been battling age-related health problems for some time.
