Jalandhar: A 7-year-old girl died after getting entangled in a kite string (manjha) in village Kotli Khakhya, Jalandhar. Reportedly, the throat of the girl was slit by manjha due to which she died on the spot.
Giving information about the mishap, the girl’s grandfather Satnam Lal said that he was taking his granddaughters on a motorcycle from village Kotli Khakhya to his shop in Adda Dosanjh Kala. When they reached half a kilometer from Kotli Khakhya, the granddaughter Harleen Kaur, who was sitting in front of the motorcycle, suffered a deep cut on her throat due to the kite string.
They took the innocent Harleen Kaur to the nearby Mehar Hospital. Since there was no doctor available, the family rushed the injured girl to Virk Hospital in Phagwara where the doctor checked her and declared the girl dead.
Police was informed about the matter and case was registered by them.
