8 Patiala villages merged into Mohali district; Land prices expected to rise

Patiala, May 22: 8 villages of Patiala district in Punjab have been included in Mohali district. The government has issued a notification in this regard. As soon as these villages come to Mohali, people will get better facilities. Also, the price of their land will increase. Because the circle rate of Mohali is quite high.

A proposal was passed in the Punjab Assembly in this regard recently. The villages of Patiala, which have been included in Mohali, include Manakpur, Kheda Ganju, Urna, Changera, Ucha Kheda, Gurditpura, Haditpura and Lahla villages.

The process was going on in Punjab for two months

There was a long-standing demand to include these villages in Mohali. After this, a letter was written to the Director of Land Records of Punjab regarding their inclusion in Kapurthala. These villages included Manakpur, Kheda Ganju, Urna, Changera, Ucha Kheda, Gurditpura, Haditpura and Lahla villages. In the letter, the department has argued that a letter has been received in this regard from the area’s MLA, Neena Mittal. Keeping this demand in mind, the government has prepared a report on reorganization and written a letter to the Deputy Director (DC) of Land Records, Jalandhar.
