Ludhiana: A massive fire broke out in a boutique located on Malhar Road in Ludhiana today. The loss in the fire is estimated to be in lakhs of rupees, as the entire showroom of clothes was burned to ashes. It has been found that the fire broke out due to a short circuit.
Gagandeep, owner of House of Kashi, said that this morning a tea seller near his boutique called and told him that smoke was coming out of the shop. He immediately reached the spot, and as soon as he opened the shutter, the entire shop was on fire.
The owner said that the fire department was also informed, and within a short time, two fire engines reached the spot, and the fire was brought under control within an hour.
The owner said that a lot of stuff, including customers, was lying in the boutique. Everything was burned; nothing was left. We have suffered a loss of several lakhs in this incident. The cause of the fire is being told to be a short circuit.
Fire officials said they received a call, and two fire engines reached the spot in no time. One fire engine was used to completely control the fire within an hour.
