Punjab: A massive fire broke out in a hardware showroom near Aarti Chowk in Ludhiana, Punjab. Immediately after the fire broke out, the employees working in the showroom ran away and saved their lives.
Nearby shopkeepers tried hard to extinguish the fire but seeing the fire increasing, people immediately informed the fire brigade. Nearby shopkeepers also started taking out goods from their shops. At present, rescue is still going on.
According to the information, a fire broke out due to short circuit on the second floor of the Ashoka Hardware Kitchen Showroom shop at around 3:30 pm on Sunday. The fire was so fierce that Aarti Chowk was filled with smoke. The second floor was badly burnt due to the fire. The fire reached the ground floor in no time.
Fire brigade officer Rajindra Kumar said that he received information about the fire at 3:30 pm. He reached the spot in no time. At present, more than 5 fire brigade vehicles are engaged in extinguishing the fire. A special vehicle with a ladder more than 150 feet high has been called to the spot. Since the building is high, efforts are being made to control the fire with the help of the special vehicle.
