Amritsar : On Friday night in Amritsar, Punjab, youths riding on two bikes opened fire on an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker and his companions. One person died in this incident, while 4 people were injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.
After the incident, SSP Amritsar Rural reached the spot. Orders have been given for a thorough investigation of the incident.
Deep Inder died on the spot
According to the information, the incident took place in village Lakkhuwal, Ajnala in Amritsar. AAP youth Deep Inder Singh Deepu Sarkaria was sitting outside the house with his companions. At around 8:30 pm, two unknown youths came there on a bike and started firing.
After the incident, the injured were immediately taken to the hospital. During this time Deep Inder Singh died on the spot. The doctors declared him dead. At the same time, the treatment of 4 injured is going on in a private hospital in Gurdaspur.
Police started investigation
SSP Satinder Singh, who reached the spot, is investigating the situation. After this, he instructed the local police to investigate. The police have currently started scanning the nearby CCTVs, so that information about the accused can be obtained.
