After Congress, Aam Aadmi Party AAP has also released the list of its 40 star campaigners for the by-election to be held on June 19 on the Ludhiana West assembly seat in Punjab. The list includes the names of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Punjabi actress Sonia Mann, who joined AAP four months ago in February, has also been included in this list of star campaigners.
The star campaigners also include the names of Punjab AAP chief Aman Arora, Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal and former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha and Sanjay Singh. Apart from this, all the ministers of Punjab and MLAs of some constituencies of Ludhiana have also been given place.
AAP MLA from Ludhiana West Assembly seat Gurpreet Gogi (57) died of a gunshot wound about 4 months ago. He was eating food when the shot was fired. Hearing the gunshot from the room, his wife Sukhchain Kaur and son Vishwas rushed to the spot and found Gogi lying in the room soaked in blood.
