Sangrur: Fog and smog have collectively enveloped Punjab for the past few days. Due to dense fog falling in the Bhawanigarh area, a collision occurred between a PRTC bus coming from Sangrur and a truck-trolley full of DAP fertilizer on the Chandigarh-Bathinda National Highway on Tuesday morning.
The accident took place near Balial at Bhawanigarh when the truck was turning towards the service lane.
After the two vehicles collided, the people around were scared and there was commotion at the spot.
According to preliminary information, about half a dozen passengers including the bus conductor have sustained serious injuries in the said accident, while there no loss of life have been reported in this accident.
All the injured have been admitted to the city government hospital for treatment. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the employees of the Road Safety Force reached the spot and started the relief work.
