Jalandhar, May 6: In Jalandhar, Punjab, a security guard who came with cash near Laxmi Cinema on Railway Road fired a bullet from his weapon. This incident happened right in front of Punjab National Bank (PNB Bank) located on Railway Road. According to the information, when the said security guard came out of the cash, suddenly the licensed double-barreled gun slipped from his hand and fell down. Due to which 2 bullets were fired.
The incident took place at approximately 10:48 AM, right outside the bank. Eyewitnesses and officials stated that the security guard was in the process of handling a cash delivery when the firearm fell to the ground. The impact caused an unintentional discharge of two rounds. While no bystanders were harmed, one of the bullets struck the guard himself, resulting in an injury.
The injured guard was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. His condition is currently stable, and no other casualties or injuries have been reported.
However, there was no loss of life in the incident. The security guard was shot in the incident. CCTV footage of the entire incident has surfaced. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of Thana Division No. 3 reached the spot for investigation.

The incident took place on Tuesday morning at 10.48 am. Security incharge ASI Tarsem Singh, who arrived at the crime scene for investigation, said that he was present near the bank at the time of the incident. The police was immediately informed about the incident.
ASI Tarnem Singh said that in the incident, a bullet hit the security guard and he has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. No one suffered any other injury in the incident. When the guard reached the bank, he had loaded his weapon and came out, but suddenly the weapon slipped from his hand and this accident happened.
