Action against drug trafficking: Amritsar Rural Police held three with 4 kg heroin

Police have registered an FIR under the NDPS Act at Police Station Gharinda.

Amritsar: In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking networks, Amritsar rural police recovered heroin and arrested people involved in it. The said heroin was smuggled via drone from Pakistan. The information has been shared by Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav. 

Acting against the drug trafficking networks, police apprehended three persons and recovered a total of 4 Kg of heroin. Police also recovered a 9mm pistol along with it. Police have registered an FIR under the NDPS Act at Police Station Gharinda.

 Further investigations are ongoing to identify more individuals involved in the network and to trace the origins of the smuggling network.
