The Punjab government has now formed a new force namely, Anti-Narcotics Task Force to take action against drug smugglers. Today, CM Bhagwant Mann will inaugurate the force’s office in Mohali. On this occasion, a new WhatsApp number will also be issued by the government to take action against drug smugglers.

The police has established a task force intelligence and technical unit in Mohali. A special team of experts have been deployed here. They will keep an eye on the techniques used by smugglers nowadays, from WhatsApp. Apart from this, whatever information the teams get, it will be immediately shared with the teams. The effort behind this is to make Punjab drug-free.

In response to the drug menace, the Punjab Government has constructed a new ANTF building equipped with advanced technological infrastructure. The facility houses a cutting-edge computer lab that will enable real-time monitoring of drug trafficking activities. With the latest software and surveillance tools, the task force will keep a close watch on suspected drug networks, ensuring that the fight against narcotics is both relentless and effective.
