After Amritpal, ‘Pradhan Mantri Bajeke’ from Dibrugarh jail to contest bypoll from Gidderbaha seat

Pradhan Mantri Bajeke will contest from the Gidderbaha assembly seat.

Ludhiana: After the massive victory of Khalistan Supporter Amritpal Singh in the Lok Sabha elections, another detainee from Dibrugarh jail is in row to contest the elections. As per information, Bhagwant Singh alias Pradhan Mantri Bajeke, a supporter of Amritpal Singh, has announced to contest the upcoming by-elections. His son Akashdeep Singh shared the information on his Instagram handle.

Pradhan Mantri Bajeke will contest from the Gidderbaha assembly seat. His political career is going to start from here. Bajeke has also been very active in the farmers’ movement. He often used to share videos of the farmers’ movement with people on social media. The Gidderbaha seat got vacant after Punjab Congress Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring got elected as an MP from Ludhiana.

According to sources, it has also been learned that Raja Waring can make his wife Amrita Warring contest the election for this seat.

Who is Pradhan Mantri Bajeke ?

Bhagwant Singh alias Pradhan Mantri Bajeke is lodged in Dibrugarh jail along with Amritpal Singh. If Bajeke contests the elections, he will become second person to do so after Amritpal Singh.

Amritpal Singh and Bhagwant Singh also face similar charges. Both of them along with other associates were arrested last year and all are lodged in Assam Dibrugarh jail. Amritpal Singh has won the election without campaigning. Amritpal defeated Congress’ Kulbir Singh Zira by more than 1.9 lakh votes.
