Chandigarh : Former MLA Pawan Kumar Tinu, who left Akali Dal in the past, has been made a candidate from Jalandhar among the candidates announced on Tuesday. After being nominated by the party, Pawan Kumar Tinu reached Nirmal Kutia Seechewal and took blessings from Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal.
Pawan Kumar Tinu recently joined Aam Aadmi Party after quitting Shiromani Akali Dal. Today AAP release its final list of candidates from Punjab. Party gave ticket to Pawan Kumar Tinu from Jalandhar Lok Sabha Seat.
Tinu is considered to be a prominent leader of Scheduled Castes. He was known as an aggressive BSP leader before joining SAD before the 2012 assembly elections.
Tinu is considered influential in the Doaba region as well as among Dalit voters. It is understood that he was angry with the Shiromani Akali Dal leadership as he was told that he would not get ticket from party.
