Kamaljit Singh Karwal, who had a score to spare with Bains, has returned to the Congress today. Kamaljit Karwal has been inducted into the Congress by former CM and Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi. Kamaljit Karwal and Bains were once good friends in the Shiromani Akali Dal. But due to mutual disputes, their relationship had soured.

Let us tell you that Kamaljit Singh Karwal joined BJP 1 year ago. He joined Aam Aadmi Party about 6 months ago and has now returned to Congress.

There have been clashes between Bains supporters and Kadwal supporters during the elections. In that case, the police had registered a case of murder against Simarjit Singh Bains, his son and 28 other people.

Stayed together for 30 years, distance increased after 2014 elections Former MLA from Atam Nagar constituency Simarjit Singh Bains and Congress’ Kamaljit Singh Kadwal were classmates at one time, but both have contested elections against each other from the same constituency. Bains and Kadwal have been friends since class 8. They remained together for about 30 years. After which both entered politics together.

During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Simarjit Bains left the Akali Dal and contested as an independent. During this time, Bains and Karwal left the party. After these elections, Karwal left Bains. However, after about six months, Kamaljit Karwal joined the SAD again.

After this, the distance between the two kept on increasing. Bains and Kadwal made several allegations against each other on stage. The two have come face to face many times before as well.

In 2022, there was a clash between the supporters of Lok Insaaf Party candidate Simarjit Singh Bains and Congress Party candidate Kamaljit Singh Kadwal over the installation of boards from the most sensitive constituency Atam Nagar near Quality Dharam Kanta on Gill Road. The matter had escalated so much that there was heavy stone pelting from both sides. However, during this time MLA Bains’ brother Paramjit Singh Pamma and supporters and two Congress supporters were injured.

Formed his own party in 2017, Simranjit Singh Bains, who started his political career with the current Sangrur MP Simranjit Singh Mann, joined the Akali Dal led by Sukhbir Singh Badal. Many allegations were leveled against him in the SAD. A case was also registered against Bains for entering the office and assaulting the Tehsildar.

Angry at not being given an election ticket by the Akali Dal, he left the party. After this, Simarjit contested from Atam Nagar and Balwinder from Ludhiana assembly seat and won. Bains formed the Lok Insaaf Party in the 2017 assembly elections and formed an alliance with AAP. This time too, both the brothers won the elections.

In the 2022 assembly elections, his party contested alone, but could not withstand the wave of AAP and lost. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi inducted Simarjit Singh Bains and Balwinder Singh Bains into the Congress.

Bains has gone to jail twice

Simarjit Singh Bains has gone to jail twice. In the year 2009, he was accused of assaulting a Tehsildar. He has already served jail term in this case. After this, on 10 July 2021, a woman accused him of attempting rape. After this, the police registered a case and sent him to jail.
