Chandigarh : Shiromani Akali Dal’s chief spokesperson Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler said that the Chief Minister has filed false charges against Sukhbir Singh Badal and Sukh Vilas Hotel only in the case of death of young farmer Shubhakaran Singh who was shot dead by Haryana Police. These have been filed to divert people’s attention from the zero FIR lodged.

Shiromani Akali Dal challenged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to apologize for the allegations leveled against Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal or be prepared to face a defamation case for these false allegations.

The Akali Dal spokesperson stressed that this was not the first time that the Chief Minister had played such a trick to divert people’s attention. He said that earlier when Bhagwant Mann had made allegations that former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi had asked for a bribe of Rs 2 crore from a player, he had acted in a similar manner.

He said that earlier the Chief Minister had falsely claimed that gangster Goldie Brar had been arrested and had also claimed that BMW Company would set up a plant in Punjab. He said that the purpose of making all such false claims is to divert people’s attention from the pressing issues of the state.

The Akali Dal spokesperson asked the Chief Minister to explain why he was helpless and why he did not give orders to register a case regarding the allegations made against him. He said that the Vigilance Department is also under the Chief Minister. He said why orders were not given to register the case from two years?

Advocate Kler asked the Chief Minister to either file a case immediately or be prepared to answer for his lies in the court. He said that a full detailed reply including the actual facts of the case will be given separately.
