Amritsar, June 28: Shiromani Akali Dal President Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal has announced the first list of party officials and the core committee, while initiating the party’s organisational structure. The special thing is that amidst this announcement, Bikram Majithia, who was arrested in the disproportionate assets case, has also been elected as a member of the Akali Dal.
Among the declared office bearers, Balwinder Singh Bhundar has been appointed as the General Secretary of the party. Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema has been made the Secretary, and NK Sharma has been made the Treasurer. Along with this, Sarabjit Singh Jhinder has been appointed as the President of the Youth Wing, Bibi Hargobind Kaur as the President of the Women’s Akali Dal and Ranbir Singh Rana as the President of the SOI.
Majithia’s name also included in the core committee
The 31 senior leaders who have been included in the core committee announced today under the chairmanship of Sukhbir Singh Badal include Balwinder Singh Bhunder, Harjinder Singh Dhami, Naresh Gujral, Paramjit Singh Sarna, Heera Singh Gabadia, Gulzar Singh Ranike, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Sikander Singh Maluka, Bibi Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Manjit Singh GK, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Bikram Singh Majithia, Sucha Singh Langah, Gurbachan Singh Babbehali, Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal, Mr. N.K. Sharma, Mantar Singh Brar, Baldev Singh Khahra, Mr. S.R. Kaler, Joginder Singh Jindu, Tirth Singh Mahala, Ranjit Singh Dhillon, Vardev Singh Mann, Gurpreet Singh Rajukhanna, Kamal Chetli, Harpreet Singh Kotbhai, Sukhdeep Singh Shukar and Darbara Singh.

Apart from this, 5 senior leaders have been made ex-officio members of the core committee, including media head Harcharan Singh Bains, Youth Akali Dal chief Sarabjit Singh Jhinjar, Women Akali Dal chief Bibi Hargobind Kaur, SOI chief Ranbir Singh Rana Dhillon and party’s chief spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kaler.
