Amritsar: The star cast of Bollywood film Kesari-2, based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919, reached the Golden Temple today to pay obeisance. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, actress Ananya Pandey and R Madhavan were present. This team will also go to Jallianwala Bagh in the evening to pay homage to the martyrs.
Actor wore kurta pajama while actress wore salwar suit
Akshay Kumar, who was part of the team that went to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple, was in a Pathani kurta salwar, while R Madhavan wore a white kurta pajama. Actress Ananya Pandey wore a beautiful suit and covered her head with a dupatta.
Dharma Productions’ Kesari is expanding with the upcoming courtroom drama starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday. The film is based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Titled Kesari Chapter 2, the film is a biopic of C Shankaran Nair. All eyes are on the Karan Singh Tyagi directorial, which will release on April 18.

The main difference between Kesari and Kesari Chapter 2 is in their themes. Kesari (2019) is a war film based on the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between 21 Sikh soldiers and a large number of Afghan tribesmen. Kesari Chapter 2 is a courtroom drama based on the legal battles that follow the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It focuses on lawyer C. Sankaran Nair and his fight for justice.
Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari (2019) was a blockbuster. It grossed over ₹207 crore worldwide. The film also broke the record for the fastest ₹100 crore grossing film in domestic nett during 2019.
